Irish broadcaster and entrepreneur Vogue Williams has turned to one of Ireland’s most celebrated design talents as she embarks on a major renovation of her new London home.
Williams and her husband, Spencer Matthews, sold their four-bedroom Battersea property last year in a deal reportedly worth €6.8 million.
The couple have since purchased a new family home in the capital and are now undertaking an extensive 18-month refurbishment project.
The move comes during a particularly busy chapter for the family, with Vogue expecting the couple’s fourth child later this summer.
They are already parents to Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, three.
For the interiors, Williams has enlisted the expertise of BOS Studios, the internationally acclaimed design practice founded by Irish designer Bryan O’Sullivan and business partner James Brennan.
The appointment marks the fulfilment of a long-held ambition for the presenter, who counts the duo among her closest friends.
Speaking about the project, Williams said she had always dreamed of working with the award-winning studio.
“James and Bryan own BOS Studios. They are these incredible interior designers and best friends of mine,” she said.
“It’s always been my dream to have them help me with a project. Their company will be helping me. They are the most amazing designers; I am so excited by the whole project.”
Although the family will not move into the property for another year, Williams is already looking ahead to the finished result.
“It is going to be such a beautiful house. I can’t wait,” she said.
“I love that I can just see green in my back garden. I haven’t seen that in a long time in London.”
BOS Studios has earned an international reputation for creating sophisticated, highly crafted interiors across hospitality, residential and marine projects.
Founder Bryan O’Sullivan, originally from Kenmare, Co Kerry, is widely recognised for his work on some of London’s most prestigious addresses.
Among the studio’s standout projects are the elegant Mayfair Suite at Claridge’s, the celebrated Red Room at The Connaught, and the redesign of The Berkeley Bar.
Closer to home, BOS Studios also designed the Landline Restaurant at the Park Hotel in Kenmare, while the practice’s portfolio extends to a number of luxury private yachts around the world.
Known for its layered approach to design, rich material palettes and exceptional attention to detail, BOS Studios is expected to bring its signature blend of luxury and warmth to the Williams-Matthews family home.
While details of the scheme remain under wraps, the collaboration is already generating considerable interest among design enthusiasts, with many eager to see how one of Ireland’s most sought-after interior design studios interprets a contemporary London family residence.
