Take a look inside a chic apartment, in the building belonging to Lily Allen’s Emily Cooper in the hit TV series Emily in Paris. The price tag is equally stellar.

In the hit Netflix series Emily in Paris, Collins’s character, Emily Cooper, lives in a très petite walk-up, at chambre de bain level – literally under the city’s rooftops.
It is the same building where sultry chef Gabriel lives, played by Lucas Bravo.

Address: 1 Place de l’Estrapade, 75005, Paris, France
Asking price: €3.5 million

In real life, a four-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment has been listed for sale in the same building but several floors down, where the ceiling heights are better and so too are the views.
Set in the City of Light’s chichi fifth arrondissement, it is close to many of the French capital's physical and cultural landmarks.

Situated at the front of the building, the corner unit has dual aspect rooms and overlooks Place de L’Estrapade.
The four-bedroom unit is on the much chi-chier third floor with windows opening to the square below, home to a sparkling fountain, where Cooper hosted her birthday dinner in season two of the series.

Extending to a sizeable 182 square metres, the residence has a sleek kitchen with white breakfast bar and cabinetry, that one imagines Emily would rarely use.
She preferred to snack at Les Deux Compères, the neighbourhood restaurant from the show, in real life an Italian bistro named Terra Nera that is located around the corner on Rue des Fossés Saint-Jacques.

On the same street is a good boulangerie, for fresh bread and croissants to bring back to enjoy over coffee while spilling the beans on the events of the night before.
The property offers a more elevated version of Emily Cooper’s life, one that commands a six-figure sum, €3.5 million through agents by Junot Forbes Global Properties.

In the heart of the Latin Quarter, a ritzy part of the City of Light, way before the series producer Darren Star conjured up the compelling show, it has many of the hallmarks of the Haussman era buildings.
These include light-filled rooms, lofty ceilings, chevron-patterned oak floors, large French windows opening onto wrought iron balconies outside, preventing you from falling out and an elegant fireplace in the salon.

While originally marble, many of these have been replaced during building upgrades, and the one here is a contemporary look in sandstone.
The location is filled with fans of the series.
Seasons 1,2, and 3 were filmed here, with the building being where Emily ‘lives’ in the show.

Nearby is Boulevard Saint Michel, the haunt of intellectuals, writers, and artists for decades. Jardin du Luxembourg, a 25-hectare space inspired by the Boboli Gardens in Florence, is a short walk away.
The Sorbonne University, seat of generations of great minds, helps create a vibrant mix in the quartier.

The Panthéon is also a few streets away.
The neoclassical monument is a mausoleum for French literary and scientific greats such as Voltaire, Victor Hugo, and Marie Curie.
Originally built as a church in the 18th century, it was converted into a national temple during the French Revolution to honor great Frenchmen and women.
