Avoca unveils new homeware and gifting destination

Avoca has expanded its retail offering with the opening of a new lifestyle store at the picturesque Mount Usher Gardens in Co Wicklow, creating a destination that blends interiors, gifting and nature-inspired living.

The new store forms part of a significant investment in the historic Wicklow site and brings together a carefully curated selection of luxury homewares, gifts, artisan food products, beauty collections and fashion, all housed within the renowned garden setting.

Designed to complement its natural surroundings, the retail space places a strong emphasis on home and lifestyle shopping, offering visitors everything from decorative accessories and thoughtful gifts to seasonal home accents inspired by the beauty of the gardens beyond its doors.

The opening reflects growing consumer demand for experiential retail, with Avoca creating a destination where browsing for interiors and gifts is seamlessly combined with a day spent exploring one of Ireland’s most celebrated gardens.

Visitors can access Mount Usher Gardens through day tickets or annual memberships, allowing them to immerse themselves in the landscape that influences much of the store’s aesthetic.

The new retail addition joins the recently opened Avoca Garden Centre and Joeanna Caffrey Flowers, strengthening Mount Usher’s appeal as a hub for home, garden and lifestyle inspiration.

The courtyard is also home to a number of established independent brands, including Oska and Rhinestones, adding further variety to the shopping experience.

For interiors enthusiasts, the store showcases Avoca’s signature approach to homeware, combining timeless craftsmanship, natural textures and contemporary design.

The retailer has long been recognised for its carefully edited collections of luxury home accessories, tableware, textiles and gifting, making the new location a natural extension of the brand’s heritage.

“Mount Usher has long been one of Wicklow’s most treasured destinations, making it a natural home for Avoca’s newest store,” said Maoliosa Connell, Director of Marketing, Creative and Buying at Avoca.

“Bringing together gardens, food, beauty, retail and experiences in one location creates something truly special for visitors, while allowing us to continue investing in the county where our story began.”

The official opening celebrations will take place from 18–20 June, with visitors invited to enjoy sparkling wine and treats while exploring the new store.

A family-friendly BBQ event featuring artisan food tastings, live music, face painting and a live broadcast from East Coast FM will further showcase the destination’s community-focused appeal.
