Mariah Carey has decided to sell her New York apartment 27 years after buying the Tribeca property, after its value has soared during that time.
Pop icon Mariah Carey has placed her lavish New York penthouse on the market, with an asking price of approximately €23 million.
The multi-award-winning singer, best known for her enduring holiday hit All I Want For Christmas Is You, purchased the expansive Tribeca property in 1999 for around €7.5 million.
She subsequently redesigned the three-storey residence in her signature opulent style, including a Moroccan-inspired rooftop sitting area.

The penthouse boasts eight bedrooms, six bathrooms and approximately 1,100 square feet of terrace space, offering panoramic 360-degree views across Manhattan.
Among its standout features is a private lift servicing all floors, an amenity the singer once referenced when remarking that she does not use stairs.
According to public records and property platform Realtor.com, the property has been leveraged against multiple loans over the years, leaving an estimated €15.85 million in outstanding debt tied to the home.

Should the property achieve its asking price, Carey would be in a position to clear those liabilities and still secure a profit on the sale.
