Country singer Nathan Carter has told Home and Style about the stress of renovating his new Irish home.
The Wagon Wheel hitmaker has revealed he has bought a property in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh and has been gutting the house for the last 18 months.
He plans to restore the two-story home into a Georgian-style house.
But he told us the renovation is the 'most stressful thing' that he has ever done in his life.
He said: "I'm building this house as well, and it has been the most stressful thing I've ever done in my life, and it has consumed an awful lot of my time.
"I've ended up doing a good bit of the work myself. I've learned a lot over the last 12 months, but it is a good distraction from. It's a Georgian-style house. I could only keep 20 per cent of the building and gut 80 per cent of it so it has been an ongoing project over the last 18 months.
"It was an old-fashioned bungalow from the 80s, and I just loved the site. It is on the water, so there is a boathouse down by the lake at the bottom of the garden, and you can pull up on the boat and walk up to the house."
Asked if he has been getting any help from his famous brother, Jake, he said his younger brother lives in Dublin and doesn't get up to Fermanagh as often as he likes.
"Jake is in Dublin now, and my dad is a joiner, but he hasn't been involved either because he is building his own house, so I've ended up using a contractor who is based in Cong.
"I've seen enough Grand Designs to know it never goes to plan, and you end up getting stuck in yourself with a dumper or a digger.
"It's what I have been looking for for an awful long time, and eventually came across it. Hopefully, I will be there for many, many years to come. I'm in Ireland 17 years now. Enniskillen is always the place that I look forward to going back to.
"It is a lovely little town and is surrounded by water, which I love. I've got a boat there, and I like to go fishing."
