Blanchardstown's JYSK offering up to 70 per cent off Scandinavian design

Style-conscious favourite JYSK opens the doors to its new Dublin 15 store tomorrow. Be there to bag a bargain.

House proud shoppers have long known that Blanch is one of the best places to go to hunt for items for the home.

Retail Park 1 is already home to Harvey Norman, Dominic Smith Electrical, Woodies, Home Store and More and TK Maxx.

JYSK will now share this retail space.

It sells big pieces of furniture from sofas to beds, but it is its linen, its towels, pillows and duvets, and its accent pieces, from statement side tables to sculptural vessels, are what has won the heart of interioristas.

Molten metal mania

Its new season pieces are on trend. Silver is the metal of the moment, and this pouffe is the perfect way to bring in a piece. Davinde, which stands 45 cm high, costs €45 and will garner attention in any room in the house.

While not in Blanchardstown yet, it is available in other stores.

JYSK opened its first store in 2018 and marks the launch of store number 31when doors open in Blanchardstown Retail Park tomorrow, Thursday, January 22nd.

As a welcome gesture, JYSK is offering up to 70 per cent off all categories from tomorrow until Wednesday, January 28th.

Soft mint-shaped statement side table

Some of the new season pieces to covet include its collection of pedestal tables.

The Gram is an undulating, concrete-finished piece that can be used as a plant stand or a side table.

The piece, which stands 50 cm high, is 37 cm in diameter.

Also shown is the Allese sofa, €899 and the round Lundeborg coffee table, €119.

Magic mid-century glass replicas

Otto is a glass range inspired by mid-century Finnish designers.

The candlestick costs €3, while the 20 cm high vase costs €11.50.

The Gudmund LED candles, also shown, cost €6 per pack of two.

Paper bag vase

The 30 cm-high, aubergine-coloured Vilmer vase, which echoes the paper bag shape of fashion jeans forms, costs €16.50.

Textiles in new neutrals

JYSK is really strong on affordable textiles.

Hallon is a rectangular-shaped cushion, 60 cm by 40 cm, that features a soft blue with brown trim washable polyester slip, and atop it is the slimmer 30 cm by 60cm Klokkelyng cushion in an oatmeal colour.

It is made from recycled polyester. Both styles cost €12.50.

Below the cushions is a jute and polyester mix Engsyre rug, €27.50, which measures 140 cm by 70 cm, and is perfect for small spaces.

Go dark on accent pieces

Brown is a colour trending in fashion and interiors.

This dark cement form Lydum pedestal stands 52 cm tall and costs €50.

Designer dupes

Vilhelm is a bog brown earthenware vase which measures 19 cm by 17 cm by 18 cm and echoes the larger sculptural forms of Danish designer Louise Roe.

This miniature dupe costs €11.50.
