Walsh Sisters-worthy: Homes for sale in Ireland's most expensive postcode

For Sale

Imagined homes for each of Marian Keyes' fictitious Walsh Sisters creations; sisters Anna, Rachel, Claire, Maggie, and Helen, for sale from €475,000 to €1.5 million

RTE’s adaptation of Marian Keyes' books, The Walsh Sisters, tells the tale of the lives of five sisters.

Set in Blackrock village, the subject matter is serious, but it has also made a feature of this chichi corner of coastal South County Dublin.

Looking cool and cinematic, it is almost a character in its own right.

Drone footage captures its seafront, Blackrock Dart station, the bars and cafes, and the vast crescent of Dublin Bay visible from Idrone Terrace.

While the main street of the village turns its back on the sea, it is a vibrant hub with everything from supermarkets to bouji boutiques and coffee shops where you can people-watch all day long.

Blackrock is part of the A94 Eircode, the most expensive area over the 12 months to July 2025, with a median price of €795,000, according to the Residential Property Price Index, published in July by the CSO.

Here are key addresses where you may be able to buy into the postcode and each of the girls’ lives:

An ideal starter home for about-to-wed Anna

Address: 16 Eagle Hill, Blackrock, County Dublin, A94 X6F9

Asking price: €550,000

Walsh Sisters

Played by Louisa Harland, Anna has just become engaged to American Aidan, played by Samuel Anderson, when her life is turned upside down.

Now facing a very different future, number 16 is an E2 Ber-rated two-bedroom, one-bathroom, end-of-terrace house that will make her feel safe, and its location will allow her to remain connected to her siblings.

Staged for sale by Ash O’Buachalla, it is in pristine condition. Built circa 1900, it boasts high ceilings and large windows, which give a great sense of space to its 62 square metres.

The ground floor is open plan and features a fashionable stainless-steel kitchen.

It leads out to a large south-facing terrace paved in Liscannor stone, has pedestrian side access, and off-street parking for one car.

Set in a quiet cul-de-sac off George’s Avenue, it is just a five-minute walk to the Dart station.

With sea views aplenty, it’s perfect for Rachel to recover

Address: Apartment 7, The Willows, Rock Road, Blackrock, Co Dublin, A94XA09

Asking price: €475,000

Agent: Galvin

This series features lots of cutaways of the sea, so bad sister Rachel, played by Caroline Menton, might find the expansive views from this 81 square metre, first-floor two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment offer soothing scenery for her post-rehab life.

Built in 1989, the interior of this C1 Ber-rated 81 square metre space includes a separate kitchen and living room, complete with a balcony that frames a view of Merrion Strand and the Poolbeg Towers.

The main bedroom is ensuite. It overlooks Blackrock Park, where you can run and cycle through the green space.

An affordable way to buy into the area for mother-of-one, Claire

Address: 12 Rosemount Court, Blackrock, County Dublin, A94K261

Asking price: €525,000

Agent: Owen Reilly

Danielle Galligan plays the eldest Walsh sister, divorced mother of one, Claire.

This two-bedroom, one-bathroom, end-terrace property has an open-plan ground floor with two double bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.

The C3 Ber-rated residence measures 58 square metres and is sequestered behind Blackrock College, with the grounds and open spaces surrounding the Radisson Blu, St. Helens hotel.

It's a great place to let kids run around.

A renovated family home, near schools and parks, for Maggie

Address: Belclare, Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock, County Dublin, A94 X0K7

Asking price: €995,000

Agent: Hunters

Maggie, played by Stefanie Preissner, seems to have it all and is keen to start a family, which may not be as easy as it sounds.

Extending to 165 square metres, the D2 Ber-rated, three-bedroom, three-bathroom house could be the perfect place to bring up kids.

With its large entrance hall, bow-shaped kitchen, large utility, and dining room that leads through to a large, dual-aspect living room, it has it all. It extends to 165 square metres.

There’s a private terrace off its living room and a separate lawned garden, ideal for a kickabout, and plenty of off-street parking.

A fine family residence that baby Walsh, Helen, calls home

Address: 35 Booterstown Avenue, Booterstown, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, A94 X2P9

Asking price: €1,550,000

Agent: Sherry FitzGerald Blackrock

Máiréad Tyers plays baby sister, Helen, who is still living in the family home with Mammy Walsh, played by Carrie Crowley, and Daddy Walsh, played by Aidan Quinn.

While in the TV show, The Walsh family lives in a bow-windowed redbrick, number 35 Booterstown Avenue, just off the Rock Road, takes a little creative license with the narrative.

Beautifully presented, it is a short walk to the sea, which features so prominently in the programme.

This is a C1 Ber-rated double-fronted, gracious Georgian with four bedrooms and two bathrooms - plenty of space for all the girls to boomerang back, if they need to.

Situated within a five-minute walk of Booterstown Dart Station, and Blackrock Park, it extends to 203 square metres and has a west-facing garden.
