Four brand-new Portmarnock homes 10 minutes from the Dart; all you need is flooring

For Sale

With a showhouse designed by former Home of the Year presenter Sara Cosgrove’s Grove & Co, these four-bedroom Portmarnock family homes just need flooring for you to move in, €910k to €925k.

Those who live and love Portmarnock don’t tend to boast about it. Truth be told, they would like the place to stay under the radar, as much as a cool, coastal part of Dublin can remain on the QT.

When the sun is out, it already draws all of Dublin’s beach-loving day trippers. Home to the Velvet Strand, a stretch of mica sand that extends to between five and eight kilometres long, depending on whether you measure just the main beach or the entire continuous stretch reaching toward Baldoyle and Malahide.

The village is served by two well-stocked supermarkets: a Lidl and a Dunnes Stores, along with Jus du Vin, one of the best independent wine stores in the country.

The only criticism of this coastal village is that the Dart station is some distance on foot from the village.

But for many of those commuting, their preference is to be close to the connectivity hub.

With a direct commuter service to Connolly Station in a single-stop journey of 20-24 minutes, many prefer the area beside the train station.

The eat-in kitchen

A ten minute-walk from the Dart is Drumnigh Oaks, a small development by Ballymore of about 30 homes where agents O’Farrell Cleere is selling four large, four-bedroom, four-bathroom, semi-detached homes.

The A-rated, three-storey homes were completed in 2025 and extend to 159 square metres. They are being sold without flooring, as is usual in new homes.

All the properties have south-facing gardens and include two-tone kitchens, a blend of soft pebble grey and a cactus green and has a walk-in pantry.

The showhouse, which is shown in the images, was designed by former Home of the Year presenter Sara Cosgrove’s Grove & Co and will also be brought to the market once the other properties have been completed.

One of the doubles on the first floor

The living room is a blank canvas, but the scene is set with a long, low sideboard as a focal point with deep button upholstered seating in jewel tones.

The homes have been designed with the various stages of family life in mind.

There are three bedrooms on the first floor, one of which is ensuite.

It means that families of very young kids can all be on the one floor for those midnight dashes.

It also means you can call in help from parents and offer them an escape by way of the primary bedroom, on the second floor, where there is an ensuite bathroom and a large attic space, where you can store cots and Christmas decorations

The four properties are priced slightly differently but as per new homes the price is the price you pay.

There are no bidding wars. Number 13 has an asking price of €910,000; number 12 is seeking €915, 000; number 11 is priced at €920,000, and number 14 is asking €925,000, through agents O’Farrell Cleere.

A price for the showhouse has not yet been finalised.
