Haute of Many Colours: Inside the late Dolly Parton's SongTeller Hotel

Dolly Parton left behind a powerful legacy when she passed away Tuesday at the age of 80, including a parting gift to her fans across the world.

The legendary singer's final act of generosity comes in the form of her posthumous project, The SongTeller Hotel.

The venue stands at about 1,858 square metres, making it the largest exhibition dedicated to Parton to date.

The 245-room dwelling, which fittingly sits in downtown Nashville, boasts all the sparkles, sequins and Southern charm that Dolly spent her 80 years exuding.

The 9-5 hitmaker officially unveiled plans for the property in June 2024, during a special appearance at the CMA Fest.

The SongTeller is set to open in the coming weeks, with the first guests slated to arrive in early September.

Dolly's legacy can be felt throughout the building, as she is said to have been hands-on in the property’s design, including her signature pink coating walls.

The SongTeller's looming marble lobby reflects Dolly's larger than life spirit, with electric pink awnings and a can't-miss guitar structure.

The hotel is lit by glittering butterfly light fixtures and opulent chandeliers.

The room is filled with vibrant colors, memorabilia, and photos highlighting Dolly’s remarkable journey, setting the tone for every room in the hotel.

Each rhinestone-filled, colour-soaked bedroom houses sprinkles of Dolly's charm, with some of her iconic quotes sprawled across the walls to remind guests of her quick wit and gentle temperament.

Of course, it wouldn't be in true Dolly fashion without music.

The hotel is home to two original live music venues, Parton’s Live and Jolene’s, both of which will host performances by Nashville’s top artists.

The venue will serve creative cocktails and Nashville-inspired cuisine, each reflecting the 9 to 5 singer’s storytelling spirit.

The hotel will also house Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum, located on the third floor.

The genre-defining songwriter dubbed the hotel her 'love letter' to the Tennessee capital.

'It's a place where musicians and guests will come together to experience Music City’s inspiring spirit.'

'From intimate venues to eclectic, yet sophisticated rooms and suites, I’ve poured my heart into this new song, and I’m dedicating it to you, Nashville,' Dolly said before her passing.

The SongTeller's website isn't up and running yet, so the cost of a stay at the venue can't be established at this time.
